Reviews for Vandita Restaurant
Review highlights
Based on 280 reviewsVandita Restaurant in Kothrud is widely appreciated for its authentic Maharashtrian cuisine, particularly its signature thalis such as Maswadi, Shevga, Patwadi, and unlimited options. The ambiance is described as simple, clean, and homely, reflecting a focus on traditional flavors rather than elaborate decor. Customers often highlight the quality and taste of dishes like solkadi and lapshi as standout offerings. While the food consistently receives positive feedback, some reviewers mention limited seating and parking challenges, especially on weekends, resulting in wait times. Service is generally regarded as good, though occasional improvement is suggested. Overall, Vandita is recognized for delivering genuine, flavorful Marathi food in a modest yet welcoming setting.
A decent place for pure Maharashtrian delicacy. Not over decorated but homely setup, with fewer but best food options. I tried both ‘Maswadi Thali’ and ‘Shevga Thali’ priced 270 each. Shevga thali is this month’s special. Food is overall a Winner. Expect 10-15 mins waiting on weekends. 10+ mins after getting table, but all wait is worth. Less parking for Cars, ample for Bikes. Service can be improved, but good food negates it all.
A simple ambience with a clean and tidy setup. The staff was good… I ordered "unlimited Maaswadi Thali-270 and a Shaakbhaji aani Laapsi -150 “ Both the plates were superb, delicious and must try with bhakri…solkadi was so good too…A must try dish at this restaurant...

Updated :Rates are increased somewhat now for unlimited thali. Recently visited this place after watching shengoli Reel. We visited on weekend which was much crowded, had to wait around 30mins as there are 5 tables only. Space is somewhat small but the food taste is unique. Sengoli needed preorder so we ordered masswadi and patvadi thali unlimited. Bhakri, rassa, patvadi, small amount of lapshi , solkadhi and shengdana chatni was served along with lemon, onion. At last indrayani rice. Rassa and bhakri taste was awesome. They said unlimited but only rassa (amti) , bhakri and bhat are unlimited. Even no of patvadi piece are limited. U will feel satisfaction after having food. Parking is on the road side for car and bike. Try to visite before 8-9 pm so will get food.
The food was delicious and flavorful. We tried the Maaswadi and Patwadi thalis, and both were excellent. Solladhi was also tasty. The service was prompt and courteous. There is ample seating space, and parking is available along the roadside.
